  • How to bridge from Base to Solana with Circle CCTP

Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) enables USDC to flow securely between blockchains, especially across non-EVM chains like Base and Solana.

Apps built on CCTP can essentially teleport USDC from one blockchain to another, providing users with a highly secure and capital-efficient way to transact in a multi-chain world.

Drift implemented a Circle CCTP bridge to easily bridge USDC across EVM chains like Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base to Solana.

How to bridge USDC using Drift CCTP

Head over to Drift’s CCTP bridge and connect your wallet.

You can choose the source chains from Ethereum, Base or Arbitrum. Enter your destination address and amount to bridge.

Approve the spending limit and then click Initiate Transfer.

Wait for the transfer to complete – the estimated transfer time is around 13 minutes.

Then press Receive and sign the transaction to receive your funds in your Solana wallet.

Bridging this way is free, except for some gas costs on both sides of the chain.
